Okay, so like a year ago I put henna in my hair to make it darker & healthier. It didn't really make it much darker, just in a couple of spots so it looked like they were low lights. And then yesterday I went to the salon to dye my hair platinum blonde cause i have always really wanted to.. and I COMPLETELY forgot about the henna and that its bad to dye over it. So the hairdresser put the blonde over my almost black hair, and it dyed my roots and just about everywhere the shade of blonde I wanted.. but at random spots along my crown were bright GREEN. it was awful. I didn't even remember about the henna still and the hairdresser didn't ask so she just thought it was because my hair was too porous and wasn't absorbing the color. So she tried everything she could to take it out... which only made it turn blue. Great. She got all the hairdressers in the store too working on me and everyone else had to wait. I felt so bad. It only faded a little but barely at all and was still bright BLUE. They were getting confused and frustrated because it should have worked by now and my head hurt soo bad, and then one of the ladies thought to ask me if I had ever used henna on my hair before. And then I remembered that I had and I was like, OMG! I felt so bad and they said they didn't know how to get it out. So now I have platinum blonde hair with random blue streaks, and some people might think it looks awesome, but I'm not one of them and its not my thing. So the hairdresser said she was gonna call a professional lady of a company and see if there was anything that could be done... and I have to come back tomorrow and I REALLY hope it gets fixed cause I'm not allowed to go to work with blue hair. So if ANYONE has any advice on how to get henna out or fix this mistake, I would really like to know. Other than chopping off my hair or dying it darker, haha. Thanks so much.

  1. sorry, there is nothing you can do..

there is a thing called matalic salts in henna that will mix with any hair product.

  2. baking soda!

    1) get in the shower and wash your hair VERY GOOD

    2) take the about 2 hand fills of baking soda and spread it ALL OVER your hair

    3) let it sit for about 10 to 15 minutes

    4) wash out

    5) style as usual

    6) the greens gone!!!

I've pulled this answer from another answer on Yahoo. Someone else did the same thing apparently and this was the best answer. You might need to do this a few times - also this was for someone who was at the green stage, not the blue stage, so no guarantees I'm afraid. Baking Soda will really dry your hair out so get a good conditioner on it for after .

ALSO CHANGE YOUR HAIRDRESSER!!! No decent hairdresser in their right mind would platinum blonde very dark hair. It can really mess your hair up. You should have lightened your hair to mid brown, put some blonde highlights in it and lifted the colour gradually for a couple of months. Regardless of how this works out, your hair will never be in the same condition again.

Also another word of warning - don't ever get a tattoo now - people who have used henna can develop very serious allergies to tattoo ink. It doesn't strike me that you're the kind of person who would but it's better to know.
