I e-filed my I-765 online. I'm trying to check the status of the app.?

I e-filed my I-765 online. I'm trying to check the status of the application online. But everytime I enter the receipt number it gives me a validation error. It says that it is not in the system. I did it on thursday of last week. They also havent withdrawn the money from my bank account. Is that normal? I'm freaking out.

If you filed last Thursday it's far too soon to hear anything.  Give it a month.

USCIS is normally delayed in updating their system.Some would even have it by the time they already had biometrics for their EAD.Just keep on checking and it will eventually be accepted.If you are not receiving any notice that you require to submit additional documents or a rejection notice to your application, I don't think you should worry at this time. You can also make an Infopass appointment to talk to somebody from USCIS about your I-765 if  you are really worried.You can find from the USCIS website the information on how to make Infopass appointment.
