Okay, so yesterday I replied to about 5 job listings. I emailed out the same resume for each job (just edited slightly for each particular position). I just re-read my resume and discovered I accidentally listed the same employer twice (although I listed different job titles, different dates of employment, etc; just the employer name was erroneously repeated).

Should I e-mail them again noting the corrected resume? Or just forget about it?

  1. I hate when II do stuff like this.  Everyone is not perfect correct.  I would correct my error and re-submit my resume with a brief explanation to show that you caught your error and you have "revised" it to reflect your error correction, could be a plus for you to include to err is human and cross your fingers that they have an understanding and humored staff searching these resumes, or you could reprint it and take it to the interview you hopefully get and admit it there in person.  Stuff happens and when we are able to admit this it leaves a better impression in my book.

  2. i think you should correct it and re send it, as if they notice it, and then find you have noticed and corrected it, they will see you pay attention to detail =]

  3. You are so screwed.

  4. been there, done that. and i'm sure theyve seen that. i'm not sure that it would be a bad idea to correct it and resend. plus, the bonus is, they'll see your name twice.

  5. In my opinion we must correct our mistake when it come to our notice there willbe no harm to correct

  6. should e-mail them again and explain things to the which they will understand.

  7. Although it may make a bad first impression, email a second message apologizing for your mistake, and be as polite as possible.
