  1. Ah then yes K200D would be perfect for you. It's low cost and is compatible with many lenses. If you want action shots and face shots then the kit lens will do pretty well, but if you're taking pics of (for example) football games then you'll want a longer lens to get closer to the action.

One thing you can do is stay with the kit lens for now and then eventually go up to a new lens. You don't have to get everything at once. But I guarantee you that more lenses will seem more and more necessary! hehe

Be aware that any DSLR will have a fairly steep learning curve and you should look at websites and maybe get a book or two if you're completely new to photography. Photography is an art and requires patience to master. Say maybe a month at most till your completely good with the process. Then it's just learning the talent.

  2. Popular Photography magazine is running such a review this month http://www.popphoto.com

  3. I posted in your other question and I stand by that list. Since you're JUST starting out I would suggest the Canon Rebel XS, XT, XTi or XSi or the the Nikon D40 or D70. I wouldn't bother with any brand other than Nikon or Canon as your lens selection is really limited.

  4. Before that you should know a basic fact that no digital SLR camera has a movie-mode.You being a beginner I would surely recommend you Sony Alpha A200 ALTHOUGH IT IS AN AMATEUR CAMERA.The Pentax AD200 which one of the guys recommended is for $700 (average price see
