  1. I have had contacts for a very long time and getting them out (I think )is easier than in. You genitally pull down on lower lid and with CLEAN pointer finger lay on eye and genitally bring finger down and with it should come your contact and then take out with pointer and thumb.  Good Luck!!

  2. I had a horrible time with contacts when I first got them and I only wear a lens in my left eye.  It took about five visits before the prescriber would even give them to me.  I had to demonstrate that I could put them in and remove them before I could take them home.

I actually had more trouble removing them than putting them in.  It took several attempts the first day before I could put the lens in my eye.  My eye was really red after that so the doc remove the lens for me.  I got better each visit until I was finally able to take the lens home.

I practiced touching your eye while looking at something else so your finger is out of your field of vision.  I washed my hands really well and put a little saline on my fingers when practicing.

I also found contact lens inserters and removers that make things easier.  I really like the dmv soft lens handler.  It makes inserting and removing contacts really easy.  I bought this and use it everyday.  I can insert and remove my lenses with my fingers if I have to, but really prefer using the tool.  I also like having long nails and this allows me to do so with worrying about damaging my eyes or my contacts.

I also purchased the Contact 2 lens remover.  I like this device but it is kinda pricy and the soft lens handler can do the same thing and costs less.  The only advantage this product has over the lens handler is that it is easier to use.

    Good Luck!

  3. I agree it harder to put them in than take them out. I will always look in toward my nose and use one finger to gently slide it toward the outer edge of my eye and kind of "pinch" it out of my eye. I loved my contacts but I love my new lasik even better lol.
