I embarrased my son?

i embarrased my son but I didnt mean to.he has cute chubby cheeks and i pinched them and wiggled it around and kissed him goodbuy.later that day he came home mad cus his friends saw and now he wont talk to me.should i say sorry ?

Don't apologize. If he wants to talk about it, just tell him how much you love him and respect his opinion. Tell him you'll try to be better next time. I have a 7 1/2 that gives me a kiss the block before school and it doesn't matter when I let him know I love him ~ as long as he knows!

I would take him to go get an ice cream and have a heart to heart talk with him.  First of all you should apologize. I would make it clear that the reason you are sorry is because you caused him to be hurt which you don't ever want to do.  I would also ask him if there is more than that bothering him.  Maybe its time to clear the air about more than that if he is that mad.

lesson #1: NEVER show affection in front of your child's friends (or anywhere in public for that matter). i know it sounds horrible, but kids/teens (especially guys) get extremely embarrassed by their parents. dont take it personally. all of them are like that (even i am tbh haha). just promise him that you wont do that again and promise not to do anything else that will embarrass him in front of his friends.

Yeah I would apologize and do that before he leaves to school.

Though I still give my 15 year old son a hug and a kiss on the side of his head before he goes to school,I do that at home.

If I forget to do so , he stands and waits for it until I do so.

Of course you should apologize.  Don't you respect his feelings?  When you tell him you're sorry, explain that sometimes moms have a hard time realizing how much their kids have grown up.  Tell him it will not happen again.

lol. Mine was I said seeya gorgeous. He told me never to do it againa s his friends laughed. He will get over it, my son did. Just proise you won't do it again. Mind you my son stilled talked to me and jusy said please don't do it again. I would not put up with him not talking to me. He would stay n his room till he found his manners

Yes, you should apologize.  You did what every parent does though.  We sometimes fail to realize that our babies are growing up.  Just go talk to him and explain that you love him and realize that he is uncomfortable with that type of display of affection w/ you in public.  Tell him you'll try not to do that again unless it's at home w/ just the two of you, if he is okay w/ that.  Explain that it is just a special way of displaying your love and affection for him.  He'll be fine and he'll get over it.  They're just growing up....to fast.
