I entered a group and found that my full name was posted above my username. Help! User privacy!?

I joined a deaf singles group and brought up the page and found (gasp) my full real name on the site above my username. I had no intention of using my name. I have joined other groups before and never found my name on the page. now I am afraid I going to get whackos using my email. Don't want to change it. Can you assist?

Can you edit your profile?  There may be a way to change the name there or disable it.

If nothing changes, contact the site administrator.  Surely there is a way to change your settings.

you edit the area of your profile real name and nick name, and also your account- if your full name is there, back space
