I stayed in the US under the new F1 status for 3 years and 9 months, until I finished the MBA program. I don´t have a "prospective student" stamp in my first I-94 since I wasnt planning studying in the US. My I-94 wasn´t takend from my passport when I left the US and I mailed it to the correct office on last week. I´m planning in going for a week to the US at the end of July and would like to know if somebody had ever been denied to re-enter the US for this same reason. Please advice.. Thanks

  1. As far as I know, once you leave the country you need a new visa for re-entry, independently of what happened to your I-94.

  2. You B2 status become void and so did the visa once you changed your status to an F1 student.

If you are currently inside the U.S. then you will need to file Form I-539 to change your status to that of B2, or if you are outside of the U.S. you will require a new visa (B2) at the U.S. Embassy in your country of residence.
