I expected a loss but not humiliation, says Farokh Engineer
The former wicketkeeper batsman of India, Farokh Engineer has said that after a winless tour of England last summer, he was expecting India to lose the Test series against Australia but a humiliation he did not expect.
Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s Men in Blue, last month suffered a humiliating 4-0 Test series defeat at the hands of Australia, and they were whitewashed by the same score line in England in August last year. The last six months have seen India losing eight Test
matches in a row away from home, an unprecedented record in history of Indian cricket. Four of the last eight Test losses were innings defeats.
