I failed an ENG-101 course, if I retake it and pass, will my F still count towards my GPA?

I know it depends on the college, but it is at a local community college, so I just want to know what the majority of colleges do with that, cause I'm assuming a community college would do the same. And don't ask why I failed... Lol.

No, once you retake it, usually the grade overrides the F.

Usually it is "lined-out" meaning you GPA is re-calculated without the failing grade, but it still shows up on your transcripts. However, this isn't always an automatic process and is done by . . . ANOTHER form from your records office. Good luck!
