  1. I don't think you can spoon feed a baby that young... They are born with a reflex to push things out with their tongue, and that doesn't go away for a while. Also, the AAP reccommends no solids until 6 months I believe.

  2. You are just going to have to put your foot down. Don't just give him more food because he is screaming, that's how children become over weight. I would maybe start feeding him formula, it maybe that he is not getting enough nutrients from your breast milk.

  3. feed him solids farex is really good just a couple of mouthfuls. all my children where on solids at 6 weeks as the bottle wasnt enough my granddaughter i put 2 tsps in her bottle with her formula she loves it and is much happier.

  4. Talk to your child's pediatrician about this.  The american academy of pediatrics does not recommend starting solids until babies are 4-6 months of age.  I breastfed my baby so I am not entirely sure about this, but that sounds like too much formula for a baby that young. Your baby doesn't even understand the concept of food yet, he is not crying for food because he is watching you eat, he is probably just crying because he wants you to hold him.

  5. NO!!! Do not feed you baby anything other then breast or formula milk at this age as their digestive systems are not properly formed and strong enough to hold anything else but breast or formula milk and anything else could make him very ill!

Babies should not be fed until they are 6 months and if it is a very hungry baby then it is ok to start at 4 months BUT NOT BEFORE THEN!

When he gets to 4 months start weening him in with one food at a time then he can get used to the taste and you can see if he is allergic to anything.

Also i hope you dont mind me saying and I'm not meaning to be rude (sorry if you take it that way) but why did you ask a question site when it would be better to call or see your health visitor and just get a quick, straight answer that you know is right and can trust.

    I hope this helps :)

  6. theyre gonna scream, talk to your sons doctor

  7. My 5 month old doesn't eat that much...that's a lot for a 2 month old...mine was at 4-5 oz every 3-4 hours.  Like other posters have said, it's too early to start solids.  Is your baby burping good??  Maybe he's screaming due to gas??

  8. I breastfed all my children, my oldest was especially large. 10lbs at birth 17.3 lbs at 8 weeks. He was incredibly fat. LoL.. Well, my mom was always telling me that because my son was so big that he needed to be fed more than just milk. I gave in and let her give him some watered down rice cereal.. Needless to say, not an hour later my son projectile vomited all over my living room. Even though he looked like a 6 month old, his digestive system was still immature. We waited a month and tried again and the same thing happened. He wasn't ready until 4 months old when he weighed 21 lbs.. YIKES! If you breastfeed at all, feed on demand, and I would ask my doctor if its ok to give him more formula throughout the day. As long as he's not obese, then it should be ok. Good luck with your hungry little man. :)
