The thing is that we're gonna be out tomorrow all day, and I can't figure out how to take the chicken. Do you think it would be a problem if I give her a chicken jar?? There is one that says Chicken with chicken gravy (couldn't find one that said chicken only).

Ideas? what do you think?

  1. there will be no health problems with it, she might not like it compaired to the homemade, but that would be the only issue

  2. She probably won't like it.  Have you tasted it?  That one tastes like c**p!  (I tried it after my daughter refused to eat it.)

I would take something else like a cereal and fruit mix (Oatmeal with Applesauce, or Rice Cereal & Pears).  Fruit or vegetables alone might be too light on her tummy if you're going to be out a while.

Edit:  Char K's idea is great!  Never even thought about the microwaves in gas stations.

  3. i have no clue what the name is but they have those little packs that you freeze and you keep in a bag to keep stuff cold on the go. just about every gas station has a microwave if you need to warm up the food. i know this doesn't answer your question about the jar food cause i honestly don't know what it would do to your baby's stomach. i hope my idea helps because wouldn't it be awful if his/her stomach didn't take the food and you were away from home?

  4. Completely from my own experience, my baby has always hated jarred chicken and wouldn't touch it, but your baby may love it. There is absolutely nothing wrong with giving it to her. If she is use to homemade and is getting the jarred chicken for the first time, the change may cause a tiny bit of diarrhea, but nothing major. I gave my baby jarred everything. She just wouldn't eat the jarred meats.

  5. I think that it should be fine for your bub. Although she may not like the taste of it that much as she is used to the real food. Maybe take along some alternatives incase she doesn't eat them. Some food that won't spoil.

  6. Not sure how old the baby is but if she has been eating a lot of your food then sure there shouldnt be a problem with giving the jar food, its not a new product or anything, its still chicken :)

  7. freeze yours and take it with you, get it heated somewhere or get cut hot water and let it sit in that !

I feed my bub home made and he hates the jars to sweet ..

  8. I would not feed that chicken meat stuff. What about a veggie?

Anyways, it is ok if you want. I mean, sometimes I make my dinner and some days we go to fast food.

  9. No your fine!  She may not like it tho because it probably won't taste as good.
