Question:

I feel TERRIBLE while running?

When I run I don't usually get tired before it happens. First I feel tingles in my leg, they soon feel like needles poking me and then they hurt all over my body especially the top of my head. While this happens I feel sick like I'm about to get diarrhea......

It's really an AWFUL feeling, even though it sounds stupid.....and "funny" to my friends. If anyone can tell me what it is or how to prevent it I would be so happy.

thanks

  1. you should eat properly, hydrate your body, and if that doesn't work, go to a Doctor immediately.

  2. Maybe you are over training. It all depends on how long you have been running, your diet, yolur weight, and your age.  All of these things play a huge factor in how your body reacts to the stress you are putting on it. I would consider all of the things I just mentioned and research running more and take it a little at a time. It takes awhile to build up stamina and endurance. Don't give up.

  3. First back off on either your mileage or how hard you are running a little bit. Make sure you are hydrated very well. You should be sipping on water all day long, don't just chug a bottle down and think you don't have to drink water for another 2 hours. If you feel thirsty that is the first signs of dehydration, so just carry a water bottle with you and sip on it all day. Another great way to hydrate is to eat juicy fruits such as oranges. Make sure your diet is balanced as well. Eat plenty of carbs to give you energy. Sleep is also important an active runner needs 8-9 hours of sleep everyday. It doesn't sound stupid at all that happened to me when I first started running and it turned out that I was dehydrated and running to much to start off with.

After you try some of the above I would give it about a week before you start picking back up your mileage and pace, if it continues to stay like that go in to see a Dr. they may want to get a blood test. Best of luck

  4. it's your diet, something you're eating, you shouldn't be eating.

  5. Talk to a dr.
