I'm 15, 5'3" and 137 pounds. How much weight should I lose?

Oh, and I'm small-boned because my thumb overlaps my middle finger when I wrap them around my wrist.

  1. check your BMI and get a general idea. it isn't exactly right for every person wuut it will give you an idea about your weight. just put all your info in here:

  2. Rule of thumb...100 lbs for the first 5 feet of your height, and then add 5 pounds for each inch...so...100 + 15  would be 120 lbs - so I'd say you're not very overweight at all...22 pounds.

    If you'd lose 1 to 3 pounds a week (which is the best because you lose the weight slowly and in a healthy way...more fresh fruits and veggies, less soda and sweets - you will feel good while you're losing weight and you'll keep it off)  you will have lost your weight in 2 to 6 months.

  3. 137 is a good healthy weight, the weight for your height is between 121 and 138.  Hope this helps.
