I am feeling guilty for choosing not work. We have just moved to this town and so many businesses/companies are in desperate need of staff, I have been approached for 2 different jobs in the last 3 days and I am not even looking for work. I have decided I would prefer to work for myself from home as I did before we moved here because I have a 2 year old girl and I would rather be at home with her and my husband as much as possible, I am also starting university in 2 weeks but it will be in my own time so technically I COULD work and I just feel really bad for not getting a job here : ( I know I shouldnt be feeling guilty but I like this place and I want to help local businesses

  1. Follow your heart and that should lead you to the right direction.  If you want to contribute to the community, volunteer.

  2. plant 10 trees it will help you in contributing to earth no to town only

  3. Help them by using local business and by making the town a better place to live by being involved.  Enjoy your time with your daughter go out and use cafe's local shops, clubs, organizations and enjoy your time at home, there are loads of mums who would love to be you and it will be over before you have turned around.

Starting university is a challenge with a small child - wait until you have started that before you take on anything else.

You sound like a mum with lots of creative energy and drive good luck with your course and don't waste time feeling guilty - guilt is already an occupational hazard of a mum.
