I feel bad...should I?

Question

I recently had a military ball for the airforce and you can either go alone or with a date,I was gonna go alone but then this guy asked me he's nice but I didn't really know him and I really wanted to go with my flight commander.Any who, the night of the ball I ended up hanging out with another guy that was really sweet who thought I was the most beautifull girl in the room and my date went somewhere I don't even know. So then afterwards I felt bad cuz I had a better time with some other sweet guy than my date. And even then i still wasn't in the arms of the person I wanted to be with. It's almost like I shouldn't have had anything to do with either of them.

you already have felt bad for your action which was unexpected to your date, it's a good sign ..
