... as if I can't do anything at all, like something is holding me back, and like I'll never be able to do anything with my life. But there are other times when I feel really really good about myself and think I can do everything. For example right now im so confused about college stuff(Im a senior) and I'm just waiting to get back to school so I can sort everything out with my Guidance Counselor. Why is that? And how do you deal with it?

  1. I'm not in college but I used to feel this way everyday, sometimes multiple times per day. I was diagnosed with mood disorder, then. One minute I was happy with my achievements, and within less than 5 minutes I felt like a failure for no reason. Talk to your doctor, it could worsen.

  2. I think it is somewhat normal for your age and development stage. I do also think it would do you a world of good to talk to someone about how you feel and when you feel held back. You could have a trigger situation of person that brings on those feelings. Often, talking about your anxiety makes it seem so different and you need to know that what you are going through is very normal.

  3. Well, I can answer the guidance councilor right away. You feel a connection that you don't have with anyone else. But I know how you feel about the lost feelings, and that clawing feeling.... like you can't do anything. Trust me, you need a mental health councilor. They are the greatest people ever.
