...fulfil my dreams of being a successful ballerina. I am an adult and my passion in life is ballet. I am v good at ballet but never had the opportunities when I was young. What can I do with my dream now? What are the other options available? I feel so down about this. I know there are thousands of girls in the same boat but can anyone please offer me some positive stories? Thanks in advance.

  1. How about joining a casting agency, they might want to use you in commercials and such. Or better still join your local theatre group. Good luck.:)

  2. no

  3. Never give up on your dreams.  You could always teach ballet while looking for a gig. It would be great to share your passion and maybe pass along your skills to someone else who could become great and even if you do not go as far as you would like maybe one of your students could and that would be equally as great.

  4. no sorry.  hope i could help

  5. I have a friend who has opened her own dance school - she rents a hall, had a few jumpers made up with her own logo and she was off.   Try a local university with dance on the curriculum, they have dance studios which are empty a lot of the time.  What was useful to her was that when she first started, she helped out in classes run by a very experienced teacher/ballerina and got to grips with lots of techniques and the exam requirements and took various courses to update her qualifications.  She absolutely loves it now, especially choreographing routines for the younger ones - good luck whatever you decide.
