i noticed that I'm being more selfish and petty of the late...

short tempered and inconsiderate... whats going on here?

i thought things should be getting better because my habits are improving. Ive stopped smoking and going clubbing. dont drink more than once a week... and i wake up early everyday... and actually study a tiny bit now...

whats going on? My personality is going poophoo... i thought fixing my bad habits would improve the person i am... how come its getting worse? surely its not post-puberty stress again.....

  1. Maybe coz you've got rid of all those bad habits out of your system, you've got nothing to distract yourself from your real issues...Whatever you do, don't go back to your old habits.

Your just going through a bad patch. I don't know what triggured it but it could last a few weeks more...or a few months...just go with it.

The irratability / frustration is what's making you act up and feel immature. Your not, just you need to learn to relax.

  2. Refining the self is an ongoing progressive thing. You don't suddenly become another person over night. If you are being petty and selfish this usually suggests that you felt under pressure when dealing with those situations. Take some time to think through what kind of person you want to be and are going to be every day. This is how you go through your day. Sure there will be slip ups but that should become rarer and rarer as you go along.

  3. Maybe you're focusing so much on self improvement you're letting the things that didn't need to be fixed slip. You have to keep your eye on the positive aspects of your life as well as the negative. I noticed when I start self improving other things tend to fall apart. I hope I helped in a small way.
