I work 3 days a week & i have 2 boys, my boyfriend is a self-employed builder(works very hard, most weekends too). I just can't seem to ever get to the bottom of my housework. 1. well i think you have to stop being one of those or you'll get nowhere.

  2. It is easy

I have a teenage daughter, a 4 year old son, a 7 year old daughter, I am on the band booster club at the school and a ranch.  I was working until my disability struck hard and I am now not able to work.  This is what I did.

My teenage daughter took care of herself most of the time.  I just supervised and assisted.  I am teaching her to do things on her own so she will know what to do when she goes to college.  That even includes a checking account and paying bills.

My two younger children have chores.  Even the 4 year old.  I believe that the younger they start with chores, the less trouble to get them do to their chores when they get older.   I have everyone pick up after themselves and keep their rooms clean.  I even hold back the movies and games until their chores and rooms are taken care of.

I am a mother, not a friend they hang out with.  I require the respect and I started them with the mams and sirs.  My husband is very pleased with how they respond and how respectful they are.  We have a very loving and orderly home.

I get up a little earlier in the mornings so I can have "MY" time.  Coffee, news, hair and makeup time.  Then, I get the kids going.  After I got home from work, I had everyone chip in and get their homework done and the table set.  They all take their dishes to the sink and I clean the kitchen.  My husband pitches in when it comes to cleaning.  He has also had supper cooked when I came home from work.  He feels it is his responsibility as well as mine.  It is OUR famiy, not just mine or his.

After the kitchen is clean, I will do one thing every night to clean.  Either the vacuuming or dusting or scrubbing the bathrooms or something.  I generally saved the laundry for the weekend unless we have something planned and then I will do a load every other night just to keep it up.  I was always finished around 8 at night.

Now, I do the same.  Something every day so as to not have all the cleaning for one day and the house always looks clean.  Then, when someone just drops by, I am not running around like a chicken with his head cut off and his thumb up his ***.

It is all called planning.  Get a chart drawn up and plan your cleaning.  Get your kids involved with chores and make sure they do them.

  3. if you can afford it, get a part-time cleaner in...

ask the kids to help... ask your bf to do a couple of tasks a week...

  4. try  maid  serivers

  5. Wake up early (before the boys) Have a quick breakfast and then get ready for work. Wake the boys up and get them ready for school. have a certain time to be ready for.

If your not going to work. Still get up early and do some household chores.

Get the boys to do something easy to do, such as put their toys away or if they are older maybe hoover!

Then give them a treat afterwards (money, chocolate bar, etc?) and tell them everytime they help out they get a treat.

Then set the boys infront of the tv with a dvd. and get someone to mind your children for a few hours and you can your boyfriend go out.

Get the babysitter to come a bit earlier for you can get ready without having to stop and tell the kids to stop fighting every second.

    haha

You go out to a restaurant with your boyfriend (hopefully he will pay! ;] )

    Do this every so often.

    Enjoy your self.

    Good Luck
