I keep thinking about things, school, my future, next summer, family, tv show(lol), etc. I feel like my head is going to explode!! I have the ability to do something while thinking about another thing. I can read a book aloud and still think and worry about another thing. It's really pissing me off. I can't stop thinking and worrying. How do i stop!!

*ow, my head hurts...*

  1. You need to get it out of your head and into words somehow.

I find either talking to someone or writing it all down (journal, bit of paper etc) helps. If you write it down it doesn't have to be coherent either.

  2. Exercise is a great way to clear your head.  Try something tough like mountain biking on a dirt trail and try to think of anything else.  Check out the trail riding video in the link below to see why this is true:

  3. I know how you feel. I'm exactly the same way. I think too much, and I don't know how to control it. I worry about things that happened days, months, or even years ago. And I worry about things that haven't even happened yet, or may never even happen at all. My mind wanders and makes up scenerios that are just ridiculous. It's so annoying. I love to read, but I have a hard time getting through a book because I can be sitting there reading, while my brain has totally wandered off, and I end up not absorbing anything I just read. Grrrrrrr!!

Maybe I should take the advice of the people who answered your question and either write everything down, or get a book on meditation (although I probably won't be able to read it because my mind gets distracted....lol!!)

Anywas, good luck to you. Just know that there are other people out there with the same problem.

  4. You got to learn how to meditate.

Paranoia is not good. :)  No, really,  relax!

Try to get some good book on meditation and it will help you relax more. That way you can concentrate better on what you have to do at the moment, rather then let your mind wonder. Worrying about things is not going to help. Setting your prioryties straight and knowing that you'll be just fine - is a good way to start.
