I feel like my peers aren't intelligent enough to talk with?

I like to share my opinions and such, and I am a thinker. I consider myself smarter than my peers, so I have trouble sharing my thoughts with my friends because they just don't understandd.

I rant about things like dreams, social psychologyy, government, etc.

I love debate. I love having deep conversations involving something other than the shoes The Jonas Brothers wear. I am 15, and I feel trapped, like I have no one to talk to. I love my friends to death, but the lot of them are just unsuited to talk to about anything intellectuall. Then I meet someone who I think might be a great person just to talk with, then it turns out they just nod and grin when ever I start a conversation.

What are some places I could share such thoughts with people who can actually understand what I mean?

  1. i dont mean to be nasty here, but my honest opinion is that you probably bore people, they dont want to talk about serious issues all the time,i suggest you relax and be gratefull you have freinds

  2. omg.... try teen geeks dot com

  3. If they are less intelligent, they are not your peers.

  4. Study and work hard and apply to a highly selective liberal arts college and you will find amazing friends there. If you live in NC, try to get accepted into the NC Governor's School program. I felt the same way until I went to GS and met intellectual teens like myself. It is worth the wait. Use your free time to study.

  5. I am an 18 year old female and lately I kind of feel the same way. Not saying that I am smarter than any of my friends but I like to talk about things other than what we are doing tonight and I feel like I'm going on about nothing.
