  1. ya.

mothers do that sometimes they miss being young and beautiful like there daughters and try to do things... so they still look like them..

  2. get your hair dyed in all kinds of rainbow colors with a weird choppy frizzy poufy cut...im sure she wont copy you then.

  3. Sounds like she's trying to be young again. If it really bothers you tell her.

  4. ya.

  5. I feel your pain. I am 16, and my mom is 48. She doesn't copy my hairstyle (although she probably needs to...her hair doesn't at all go with her height, build, face, or attitude), but she does try to copy my STYLE-style. This is a major problem, because she is a teacher at my school, and so EVERYONE can see her trying to look young, but she is way too old...I mean 48!!! And she is not one of those cool, "I-look-too-young-to-be-old" type of moms, either!

I'll make you a deal...I'll talk to my mom if you'll talk to yours. But try not to be too hard on her: she's probably just trying to feel younger (I mean, it's got to suck to get old), and so she uses you as her gage of what is young, hip, and beautiful. Take it as a compliment, but don't hesitate to tell her that it bugs you and you wish she'd stop. Tell her that if she wants your expert help with her style, then you can help her pick out her OWN haircut next time. Also, think about taking her shopping or out to a movie sometime. She obviously wants to feel young and girly again, and she obviously respects you.

    Good luck...hope I helped you!

  6. Maybe ur mom is lonely.

  7. Take it as a compliment.

  8. ooh. yu shud buy an ugly wig and shell copy you thinking it was real. LOL jkjk idk what to do sry

  9. u should be takin this as a compliment         toidi(read backwards)

  10. Maybe she likes it when people say that you two look like each other or when they say she looks like your sister. Gently and jokingly, and definitely smiling, not in an aggressive mood , tell her that you want a different hair style from hers.

  11. First get a really ugly hair cut but don't go out with it, and wait 'till she does. If it really bothers you, make her think you have terrible style, and she'll never want to copy you again.

  12. well, consider it as a compliment. Maybe she just liked it

  13. she has nuttin better to with her life and she probaqbly had this problem in the past like when she was a kid, tell her to get a differnt hobby.

  14. She probably still urges to feel young again and just wants to know what's in style and is taking you for her example. She is trying to run away from the fact that she is getting old and all the cool new stuff doesn't look cool on 40 year old women. But one day she will realize that she can't look like a 20 year old anymore, or try to.

  15. Maybe she's going to a mid-life crisis. Maybe she wants to recreate her youth again. My mom did that too with my sister. She wants to look younger and prettier, take it as a compliment....She'll get over it.

  16. get a couple of wigs...  then she won't really know what to do...  like different colors and everything.

  17. Look at it this way,

does it look better on you?

  18. Yeah - I can see how that's annoying - VERY annoying. In fact, I had a roommate before I got married that copied everything I did. I would go shopping and buy clothes at a certain store, 2 days later she would buy the same outfit. She bought the same shoes as me and even the same CD's as me. Everything I liked, she liked - if I hated a movie - so did she! I felt like I had a leech attached to my face!

I only said that because I do understand that it can be annoying... though i'm sure your mother is nothing like that - sorry.

Anyway - maybe your mother just wants to feel young again. I don't know but maybe she just sees a younger person with that cut, and thinks it looks great and gets one too just simply to feel younger.

I wouldn't get too annoyed at that . . . maybe you should feel flattered that someone thinks it looks great on you, so they want to try it too, that's what I started believing anyway with the roommate anyway.

  19. if it annoys you tell her to stop dont be putting this question on here its really simple.
