I feel like a ran too fast and I know I shouldn't have pushed myself too much but now, just a couple hours later I feel very drained and sore from yesterday as well. I tried drinking water but its hard to eat.

What can I do to feel better?

I took a shower as well...

  1. The sorness is just your muscles growing.  Just take advil or tallenol to relieve the pain.

  2. EXERCISE MORE, LAZY! You should also try consuming salty foods along with plenty of water, but seriously, toughen up a little.

  3. You can get your body used to it by doing it everyday.  It sucks at first.  I know I am trying to teach myself to jog.

  4. maybe you ran too much. also eat because you might feel faint from not getting your nutrition

  5. Don't push ur yourself too much. Take some time too heal.

  6. Try a sports drink instead of just water- G2 gatorade or powerade. You probably need electrolytes.

  7. Rest up.

When you push yourself your body needs time to build its self up. After a day or two of rest you will find that you can push yourself a little farther than you did the last time you ran.

  8. Eat lots of protein and carbs, drink some gatorade.

  9. Everyone feels that way after exercising.

For feeling drained, you have to live with it.

For feeling sore, you will always feel this way but stretching might help.

  10. IT'S NORMAL. If you suddenly run hard, then your body is going to react a certain way to make up for the amount of stress you trounced upon yourself. When you wake up the next morning you're in for a whole lotta pain...hehehe. But don't worry, once your body regains its composure, you can run as hard and as fast as you'd like but you won't go through a painful phase like the first time around. Your body is more adept at taking more punishment, so it's a GOOD thing you feel this way now and avoid it later. :)

  11. You may need to take something to raise the Glutathione levels in your body. Glutathione is the body's master antioxidant and assist in recovery from free radical damage that can occur from activity such as intense workouts.

  12. advil or sleep.

  13. well dont run too hard cause you can only push your body so much. did you just start running recently or are you an active runner? thats a factor too....you probably just over did it and your body's showing you that you pushed its limits

  14. Don't fret. It will be better tomorrow.

  15. Recovery is part of your running too. Take it easy for a couple a days and you'll probably feel better. Make sure you drink plenty of water!

  16. Just relax, sit in the air conditioning and chill out, and eat something!?!

  17. you need to drink plenty of water before exercising. you also need to eat food with protein and energy to keep you going.

and afterwards, you need to have more protein and water.

you will feel drained unless you are fueled up before you exercise.
