There are two ways you can approach a question like this.  You can find the percent "taken away" and subtract it from the original amount, or you can find the percent "left" of the original amount.

The first way would be to find 15% of $46.50 (0.15*46.5), then subtract that number from $46.50.  That will give you the discounted price.

The other way would be to determine what percent of the whole is left when you subtract 15%.  (100%-15%=85%)  Then, find 85% of $46.50.

Both methods will give you the right answer, use whichever one feel most intuitive to you.
