Hi, I'm 19 and i have terrible bags under my eyes.

I dont know what to do, if i sleep late into the day they are 100x worse but even when i wake up early and its still really bad. I look tired, old and upset everyday and i dont know what to do. I've bought eye creams/gels and masks. I've gone for eye massages, i've even considdered surgery to remove the bags. For a few months i wore glasses everyday even thought i dont need them jus to try and hide the bags. Its had such a crippling effect on my self-esteem and i feel ugly everyday, i've become obsessed with my looks, so much so that ppl think im vain not knowing that its the complete opposite i hate how i look. Please help!!! I dont know what to do!!

  1. I think you need love

  2. try taking a cold shower before you start your day

    otherwise, use cover-up/foundation/concealer!

    hope this helps! =)

  3. :( concealer even if ur a boy or girl it works! or go to ur doctor

  4. Potatoes contain catecholase, which help to refresh and lighten the eyes, so rest half moon shapes on your eyes for around 20 minutes, similarly Cucumber slices work too to refresh, but not as well to lighten, so soak them in lemon juice for enhanced effect.

Powdered feugreek mixed with milk to make a paste applied to the under eye lids over night is said to remove dark circles.

Eating 2 kiwi fruits a day is also said to help eliminate the appearance of bags.

A good diet of fibre, protein, fruit and veg, etc. will always improve your overall health and appearance, and maybe try a brisk early morning walk to get the blood flowing and to refresh your skin.

Vitamin A, C, and E are important for healthy eyes.

"Vitamin C: Good sources include citrus fruits and juices, papaya, cantaloupe, green & red pepper (sweet), kale, tomato juice (low sodium), Brussels sprouts, strawberries, raspberries, mango, broccoli, and cauliflower.

Vitamin E: Good sources include almonds, sunflower seeds, safflower oil, peanuts, peanut butter, corn oil, mango, and eggs.

Vitamin A (Beta Carotene): Good sources include carrots, sweet potatoes, kale, mangos, squash, apricots, turnip greens, spinach, cantaloupe, red bell peppers, and cod liver oil."

You should also get a check for allergies and a blood test to see if you have a vitamin B deficiency.

Drink more water, take vitamin supplements if necessary and reduce your salt intake. If you smoke, try quitting.

    Some more tips:

    Avoid processed foods

    Vitamin K cream overnight

Wear suncream under your eyes, underneath your makeup

Massage the skin all around your eyes

And try a yellow based concealer with your regular makeup. I find that rimmel are excellent for foundations and concealers, particularly their revive line.

For an occasional look, get a massive pair of black sunglasses and make a fashion statement, you'll look awesome, and noone can see your eyes!!

It might be advisable for you to talk to a professional or someone you trust about your self esteem issues, as they can often get worse and worse even if the original physical issue has subsided. Becoming obsessed with your looks is normal to an extent, but it can easily become extremely self damaging, and can lead to eating disorders, depression, self harm, etc. And you should really try to address your problems now, as you have recognised that you have them (which is great) and it sounds like you want to make an active change.

Keeping a diary can help too, especially if you do eventually talk to someone else about it, as you have all your thoughts and feelings out already.

    Hope that helps a little.

  5. try the bare minerals concealer.

  6. Go to an Allergy doctor.  You probably have bad allergies, and some of these eye creams and products might actually make it worse if your eyes are sensitive or allergic to them.

Otherwise, you can try using preparation H - it shrinks things, and this seriously works.  The problem is Prep H smells bad - it has shark cartilege in it.  So if you use it, try using a good smelling cream over it to counteract the fishy smell.

Use a yellow-colored makeup under your eyes (then put regular makeup over that) to minimize the blue - green color around the eyes.  Yellow neutralizes that.  You can find yellow makeup for under-eye treatment in stores.  Or, you can mix a little turmeric with water and do this yourself.

No matter what you do - be very careful to not get any of this stuff IN your eyes.  That will make it all worse.

Think about someone that you admire who has bags under their eyes.  Consider the fact that you admire them even though they have bags!  And see that person in yourself.  Think of them and how it's ok that they have those bags - and realize it's ok for you too.

  7. Sleep on 2 pillows.

Try this milk powder remedy http://epictureperfect.net/cure_dark_cir...

Drink a glass of fresh carrot juice everyday.
