I feel sooo bad...?

I've been a vegetarian for almost 2 years (mostly because of animal rights). Last night I was extremely hungry, I was in a road trip with my boyfriend, it was 11:00pm, the only thing available was McDonalds, Burger King and Popeye's. Like I said before, I was very hungry, had no choice and I ate fish. Now I feel sooo bad for that :-( Have you ever cheated on your vegetarian diet?

  1. fish is poultry . i think u can slide with that one

  2. well, one way you can feel better is to know that it probably wasn't real fish...

  3. it's not about cheating, or considered just a diet, it's a lifestyle we choose to eat,

i would of prefered to stuff myself with something else than to eat animals.

but if you feel really bad, just go back to your normal eating habits and never turn to flesh again, =]

  4. you may feel bad about you but you know you liked how it tasted lol jk

don't those chain's carry salads and stuff idk

  5. um....u could have had a salad and a large order of fries and a milkshake

  6. you could have had french fries.

    but its OK.

my sister tricked me into eating stuff with egg in it yesterday

  7. i guess you have no choice.

this just shows that the society still didnt cater enough for vegetarians. i write letters to request for vegetarian varieties in food outlets, i believe once they know there's a demand they will prepare vegetarian food choices for the benefits of vegetarians.

dun feel too bad about 1 meal.

rememeber, you being a vegetarian for 2yrs has saved countless animals that one may potentially harm.

  8. Burger King offers a delicious veggie burger. All three restaurants sell salads. So...

    I cheated on purpose once. When I was a kid, I loved Chik-Fil-A, and this one time in high school (having been veg for a few years) someone had a tray of nuggets and I said "**** it" and had one. It... did not end well. I regretted it immediately, but besides that, it made me sick. Eating greasy meat for the first time in five years is not an enjoyable experience. My poor tummy. :{

And to be honest, most of the time I tell people that story when I tell them I'm veg. "Yeah, I'm recently vegan, vegetarian for 10 years, except this one time..."

  9. mcdonalds have salads dont they.

  10. How did you not have a choice? There are quite a few things among those options that don't contain fish or any other meat.

  11. Yeah, it was a long time ago, and kinda after the fact. I left bad. It's ok, feel guilty a bit then move on....

  12. I've been a vegetarian for a year, I became one last June. Anyways sometime in March I decided that I REALLY needed a hamburger. I couldn't just settle for a nice Boca burger, no, it HAD to be a hamburger. So I convinced my mom to take me to the nearest Carls Jr. Of course, she was a bit unsure of the whole thing. I mean I tend to preach animal rights at times and she was like "Are you sure you want to do this?". Anyways, I get the burger, take a bite and think...WOW! That is one really disgusting burger. Was it worth it? No. Do I regret it? Absolutely. So to answer your question, I have cheated on a vegetarian diet. It's okay to slip up sometimes, nobody is perfect. Even if something is done on purpose, if you feel bad about it you should just cut yourself some slack. Vegetarianism is about progression, not perfection. And I bet that fish you ate will help you appreciate being a vegetarian even more!

  13. well I could see if you were eating a koala bear or California condor or something. You were eating fish! There a billions of them, and nowadays they are probably farmed. Animals are for eating, you have been brainwashed by the vegetarian liberals.....80% of the worlds populations went to bed hungry last night, does that make you feel better? They would have loved to have your scraps.

  14. It's already done.

    Why ponder?

Everyone cheats now and then( with everything).

    No one is perfect.

    Just resume your vegetarian diet.

    -:)

  15. Even though I am on a semi-vegetarian diet, I would never eat any meat from a fast-food restaurant . I know that they offer food without meat at those places anyway, so why did you not order a salad or something?
