  1. Ow, I have lost count how many times I have done this!

Your eyes have dried out beneath your lenses whilst you were sleeping and now they are sore and irritated.

Mostly, this will gradually ease during the day. If however, things are not at least 75% inproved by tomorrow, you may want to pop to see your optician in case you have irritated your cornea and/or conjunctavitis has set in.

If you wish to prevent your eyes from being infected, if you think you have already noticed a scratching sensation, pop to the chemist and buy some optrex eye drops with chloromphenical in it. Ask at the desk. This will act as a preventative to infection and/or treat one.

    Best of luck

Oh and leave the contacts out for a day or so!

  2. Call your optometrist or go to an emergency room.

  3. Might want to go to a chemist or doctor and see what they recommend

  4. How long were you asleep? If it wasn't very long it shouldn't be a problem. I've been asleep with mine for half an hour and it wasn't a problem.

I was told by my optician not to sleep in them and I presume that to mean all night. A short nap shouldn't be a problem.

  5. NO

  6. Put more eyedrops in and take your contacts out and soak them for awhile, and before you put them back in make sure that you rub them with your saline or whatever you are using to remove the protein build-up.

  7. I have done that too. Yeah my eyes and contacts got sooo dry, it hurt to blink. The best thing to do is take them out for 2-3 hours and keep them in your solution case and keep putting solution in your eyes every 30-45 minutes. If they still hurt, then take them out for another hour and a half to 2 hours.

    Good Luck.

  8. stick them in your contact case and let them sit for about 5 hours at least. then rinse them with your solution and then put them back on.. that has happened to me too!! but don't worry about it. It will eventually go away and if it continues to be red go to see your doctor!! good luck..
