Question:

I fell in the bathtub!?

I am 32 weeks along and when I stepped into the tub I slipped and fell straight down on my butt. I didn't hit my belly at all, I fell right into the seated position and I feel fine other than a sore bottom. Should I call my doctor anyway?

  1. Don't worry unless you notice a difference in your body than you normally feel.

  2. yes, just to be on the safe side

  3. i wouldn't worry about it if you feel fine

  4. No, you're fine. Baby is well-protected, and you didn't even hit your stomach... I know some will tell you to call, anyway, and that's your choice, but if it were me, I wouldn't call just to tell them I have a pain in the butt! That would be their giggle of the day. :)

  5. if you don't bleeding, so you fine

    but ask your doctor anyway

    are you from tn?

    I'm form nashville, tn

  6. i would but i call my doctor for everything, you never know how it can effect you

  7. It wouldnt hurt to call him...but your fine..your baby is well protected...  slipped down the stairs only the last five and slid forward into a fetal  position when i was around 16 weeks...everything was fine when i went to the Dr... he will just check the babys heartbeat when you go.. if youre not bleeding or dont have abdominal pain, you will be perfectly fine!!!

  8. you are probably fine if you dont feel bad but you should call your doctor anyways just to make sure everythings still going good

  9. Just do your baby kick counts and you will be just fine

  10. if you feel fine you probably are but just mention to the dr. at your next visit and take it easy for the rest of the day :)

  11. I would not worry unless you are bleeding or cramping just relax today and stay intune with your body if you feel a little diffrent call your doctor

  12. Im sorry that happened. Try to sit down/lay down and relax to see if you can feel baby movements and if it's regular then you have nothing to worry about. Make sure you are not bleeding or having any unusual cramps/pain (you should go to the ER asap if you are expericing this)

  13. I was 9 months pregnant and leaving work through the cafeteria, where they were mopping but didn't put up a wet floor sign. Well, down I went and landed on all fours! Thank God I worked in a hospital. I turned right around and went to the employee health nurse and they admitted me for a quick heart beat check and just made sure my son was ok. Things were fine but I'd call the doc just to be on the safe side. You never know. Good Luck

  14. I would-they will probably ask you to do kick counts to make sure the baby is OK in there or they may have you come in for a sono. They may also check your cervix to make sure there is no dilation or preterm stuff starting-usually everything is fine but it's best to be safe-plus it's the weekend and you don't want to worry about it for the next few days. That's what the doctor is ther for.

  15. They (pregnancy books and what not) say that you SHOULD call the doctor. For example...if you are in a small car accident where you just feel a tiny little bump, they say you still need to call the doctor even though you and the car are fine.  I think it's because of a possible trauma situation where you or the fetus may be stressed.  I would call the doctor and tell them how you feel.  They may say you need to come in for a check up or that you are fine if you don't have any symptoms they say you should have if you or your baby is stressed.  I hope that helps. =)
