I fell into a Jumping Choy, how do I get the thorns out?

I was camping this weekend and we were on our way home when we had just passed a rest stop. I wasn't about to make my fiance turn around so he pulled off the road, I walked up a mountain went behind a tree, squatted, and lost my balance. I fell backwards into a Jumping Choy, and now have little thorns all over my backside, back and various places on my body. They are really hard to see and I already soaked in Epsom salt. Does anyone know how to get them out. They hurt.

  1. Cactus needles can be a real hassle to remove. While the big spiky needles are more painful, they are easy to remove since you can usually grab them with tweezers or finger nails and pull them out.

The real problem are the very fine, hair-like needles. These tend to come in clumps of hundreds, and they are nearly impossible to grab hold of. The best way I've found to remove them is to use duct tape. Cut off a piece of tape, press it to the skin with the needles, and then rip the tape off. This will bring needles off with it. It takes a while as you have to repeat this many times, but it usually manages to get most of the needles out. If you have a lot of needles, or the duct tape is not working for you, the final thing to try is waxing. You can try using a home waxing kit.

(I've copied this word for word from the site below - i had to resort to the wax, but at least it was only on my leg, not on a more *sensitive* area. Ouch!
