Question:

I fell on my foot I'm diabetic and got no insurance can't see dr 3 days and 4 nights ago i stepped in a hole?

my foot was so bad i could not move it and today is the first day i can walk on it but only a little my ankle don't hurt the top and bottom of my foot hurts it is slightly blue on top when i move my toes they tingle is it broken how can i tell it still hurts when i move it wrong and i still get sharp shooting pain up my leg thanks

  1. check your toes and make sure they are warm, twist your foot toward the inside and outside, make sure you can feel pulse on the top of your foot.  If anything is not warm or pink or too painful go to the ER.  They cannot refuse to see you and if you pay $10 a month there is nothing they can do about the bill.  If it seems ok, just put a warm moist rag on your foot and wrap it in seran wrap, will keep it warm and moist and will heal more quickly . but if in doubt esp with DM- go the ER


  2. Sounds like you broke a bone or few in your foot.

    Go to the emergency room and they are required by federal law to treat you regardless of your ability to pay.

    Sure you'll get a bill, but your long-term health is much more important than a little bit of debt.
