  1. well you have to look and see the significance of the swelling and bruising. i guarantee that if you broke it you would be in horrendous pain, as i was when i broke my arm awhile back. put it this way, it hurt so bad that it was painful to move my OTHER arm. im sure that you just bruised a bone.

if the bruising around the wrist is green you're fine. if it is black and blue then that could mean a bruising to the bone/hairline fracture. if you can't straighten it then take it out of the brace. it could be stiff. don't sleep with the brace on no matter how much your wrist hurts. this will only make it worse. if it remains swollen for more than three days have a school nurse look at it. if she thinks you need x-rays then tell your parents that the school requested x-rays.

    hope your wrist is okay.

  2. If your wrist hurts only a little you really don't need the brace, and you should just try and be gentle with that wrist.  If it hurts and feels sore then you might have sprained it.  In that case it will take about a month to heal and you should wear a splint or brace for about two Weeks at least and the slowly leave it off and move your wrist around more and more as time goes on.  If you are in unbearable pain no matter what then you need to see a doctor and make sure you didn't break anything.  Hope its nothing and your wrist is fine.

  3. Have you gone to the doctor to make sure you don't have a fracture.  If you don't, then you're doing all you can do.  Try to exercise it everyday by moving your hand back and forth and in circles so it will get stronger but that's about it.
