  1. All you have to do is to wait for that interview letter. How long? It depends on how busy your UCSIS disrict office really is but it shouldn't be too long.

You might want to start collect stuffs (additional documents such as more recent bank statements or bills that have both your names on it, recent pay stubs, pictures, copy of your AOS package) to bring along on your interview day, it comes in handy just in case they wanted to see something.

    Good luck!

  2. The next step is that his I-485 will go to the USCIS local office that has jurisdiction over where you live, or it may be transferred to one of the Service Centers. The I-765 will be processed by the National Benefits Center in Chicago.

The employment authorization will normally be processed within 90 days.

Its hard to say how long the I-485 application will take, it depends on which local office it is sent to.

  3. Last year we filed in June, had biometrics in July, EAD in August and the interview in September, the green card arrived in October. Use the time to gather evidence, everything extra you can get with both your names is useful or anything that shows him living at your address. I even joined the local library, we got joint gym memberships and we got joint AAA memberships as extras before the interview.

  4. If you have just been for biometrics, it won't be much longer.  I went in April (12th) and had my work permit by Memorial Day.  Green Card came a week later.
