I finally got my 360 pic to load; how can I change it?

I got my 360 picture to load to Yahoo answers finally. But it is so small that I can hardly make out any detail. How do I zoom it so that it shows better; also how I do I get rid of the bottom part where it says avatars.yahoo.com? Please make it as simple but as detailed as possible. Many thanks...

  1. I recommend you crop the avatar edges this will make it larger before you upload to your 360 page. go to the link below for easy to use on line cropping tool.

  2. First, if you are trying to use your Y!Avatar pic (full body) on Y/A - it will appear small. That's just how it is, because Y/A re-sizes 360 images to a thumbnail size. You can enlarge it somewhat BUT there is a limit to how much clearer it's going to be because of the JPEG format and because of the Y/A resizing.

Microsoft Paint is on most Windows computers with Microsoft software in the Accessories programs section. If you don't have Microsoft Paint, then there is likely another photo-editing software already on your computer somewhere.

    - Open Paint, then open the image file from within Paint.

    RE-SIZE:

    - Click on the Image Menu and choose "Attributes."

    - Increase the pixel width and length. OR use "stretch and skew" and just increase the percentage. Try to increase by the same amount for each dimension.

    CROP:

    - Use the rectangle tool to select the area that you want to crop out. Choose "Cut" from the Edit menu. Then, choose "New" from the File menu. Choose "Paste" from the Edit menu to make what you cropped out re-appear in the new file.

    - Go to the File menu and Save As. Make sure to change the file name. Choose the JPEG option in the file type dropdown after you click Save As. A pop-up window will ask about quality, you can increase it or lower it (to help fit under the 360 file size specifications, if necessary).

Then, re-upload the image to the personal profile pic module in your 360 space (http://360.yahoo.com ). Click the "use as primary" option next to the image, if you have more than one image in that module, before saving. You'll have to wait for the Y/A system to register the change - perhaps it may register faster than it has previously (maybe it won't).
