  1. Yep it's very typical for people to start drink White Zins and Reiselins, they are the most sweet of the non dessert wines. Gurtzwiner (most likely spelled wrong) is another german sweet white. As you get older and your pallate expands your taste in wine normally shift from sweeter wines to drier wines. You should try some Chardonays, or Pinot Grigios. If you want to try a red wine try Merlot, Shiraz, or Pinot Noir. For now stay away from Cabernets, Red Zins, or Chianti, they will def be too dry for you right now. Work your way up to them first.

  2. I only had cheap grocery store wine so I couldn't tell ya. And I made my own. "Welch's grape wine 2008" is pretty good." haha

  3. The best way to expirience wine is to pair them with food. I always say, dont worry about what wine goes with what food , just try and see what you like. I started out drinking red wines, merlot is the easiest to drink initially, but you graduate quite fast to a more full bodied cabernet sauvugnon or a spicy shiraz. Also just because its inexpensive doesnt mean its bad, ask some people in the wine isle for suggestions
