I find it hard to find casting calls without paying money to a casting site. How do I find a real model agent?

I am a 20 year old male model in Cedar Rapids. I have found some casting calls through some sites, but without a real casting agent I find it hard to know about alot of them, not to mention I live in Iowa for the time being, so that makes it even harder. I am looking to find better ways of finding out about casting calls without paying money to a casting site without even knowing if they are legit or not.
