Call me stupid but I had no idea there was such a thing as a "scene name" So confused and dumbfounded i googled scene names and i found this site http://www.wikihow.com/Be-a-Scene-Girl

WTF!?!?! are they serious? I mean....wow. I'm at a loss for words.

well this terminology "scene kids" is relatively recent maybe 3 or 4 years old that I know of, but yeah there are young people that are proud of being called and being a "scene kid." what these people do is go to like local band shows, metal, alternative, gothic and they all go there not to see the bands but to socialize and text each other back and forth in the club or bar when they are 5 feet away from each other and its pathetic and ridicules, they have many many times discouraged me from wanting or going to local metal shows. so I agree its like WTF?? exactly

on a mainstream level my favorite song is also Epic - faith no more I am a Mike Patton fan in the most profound way

its stupid. i saw questions like that too. its stupid. at first i thought scene was a style, i guess now its starting to be a life style. could they atleast choose a better name? scene can refer to any scene...ie, goth scene, the punk scene, the local music scene, etc.

its all just a stupid fad.

I see what you mean.  The thing that keeps sticking in my mind right now is that these are the people that will be "in charge" when I'm old.  Suicide doesn't look to bad right now!  Sic joke I know but some of today's youth scares me.  Gotta keep hope alive!!

You're not the only person who had no clue about this... I don't get a lot of the stuff that goes on now... most of it just doesn't make sense, and really isn't necessary!

Dont bother with those excuses, scene name? What is that hahahahah im dont bother to know that i just listen ot what i want, be at any gig or concert i want and just be me, for the 90's i guess any song from Dream Theater, Shawn Lane, paul Gilbert and Ritchie Kotzen or Richie Kozen was great and still is, actually to many songs to name here and that not included from John Mclaughlin and blabla.
