I finding it hard to fall asleep at night!?

Im 25, on anti-depressants, but havent suffered this for 2 years, recently started seeing a counsellor, but last couple of days i cant get to sleep at night. Then i have dreams about stupid things, like that i went to weight watchers and i put weight on! And my mom fell out with me cus i borrowed her pj's! Whats going on??

  1. Your psyche questions are good for your councilor.

    I just use Sominex or an over-the-counter substitute.  My problems is that my mind won't stop and I can't fall asleep.  I get worked up about something and end up sitting up angry or confused.

    Try the Sominex.


  2. Be aware of food and beverage intake around 2 hours before bedtime.  No sugars, caffeine, dairy.  I recommend 7 hours sleep a night minimum.  

    As for your brain racing, try to remember that in bed there is NOTHING you can do about your problems, and fretting over them will actually cause you to be less rested and thus less able to deal with them (simple logic).  

    Finally, stretch before bedtime, brush you teeth, small drink of water, and some breathing exercises to find you equilibrium.
