.... they make Amsterdam-Minneapolis, Amsterdam-Memphis, and Amsterdam-Detroit (surprise, these cities are Nortwest hubs=)), and from there they go to ORD. So, having never been to Minneapolis nor Memphis nor Detroit, I would like to know which airport is the best for a 2-hour-stopover. For myself, I think Minneapolis might be a very good choice, however, it's just a feeling, maybe the 2 others are even better?!

  1. f***y, for a 2-hour stop, there is very little difference between the airports at Detroit, Memphis and Minneapolis. There is not enough time to go anywhere else, or to do anything but get off, clear customs, go through immigration, maybe grab a snack, and get on another aircraft. The time will pass fairly rapidly.

    Enjoy your flights.

  2. With only two hours to retrieve your luggage, clear customs and recheck it to your destination it's not going to matter.  Go with whatever's cheapest.

    Have fun in Holland.
