I focus with one eye more than the other..how can i correct this?

I used to focus with both eyes equally but lately i've been using my left eye more and more and now my center of focus is somewhat slewed toward the left and the right gets tired faster...what should i do to correct this?

  1. When people note focusing differently, it is usually a sign of an optical problem, such as hyperopia (far sightedness) or astigmatism. As an eye doctor (ophthalmologist), I would have to refract (measure patients for glasses) to determine this. There are other reasons for focusing abnormalities. These include strabismus *(eye muscle disorders) such as drifting (exotropia) as well as unusual diseases like Myesthenia Gravis. Even dry eye can cause blur that is asymmetric. The

    most likely problem in a normal health person however is optical, and your local ophthalmologist can help.

  2. Obviously you need an eye exam and glasses to correct it.

    If you already wear glasses, then your prescription needs updating.
