I forgot my adminstrator password?

i tried safe mode but it siad it couldnt get me in?

You need some special "boot cd" software for this. There are quite a few available on the internet. I recommend:

Its free and easy to use. But you need to be a little "techie" in order to be able to prepare the CD from the ISO image that you download from their website. Also you need to change BIOS settings to allow booting from CD. Don't know if that scares you :)

do you have any other user that does not have a password click it then go on the control panel click on the users and change your password but if you have Vista of course guest accont then control panel click on user acconts and family click on user acconts then click on your user chane password

Assuming you are running Windows XP, the web site below has step by step instruction for getting around it.

In a nutshell, you are going to use your install cd to do a "repair" of your windows installation and at a certain point in the process, hit a special key sequence to open a window that will let you access the user menu and change the password.

if you have access to a guest account or any other account, you are in luck. get onto the computer any way you can through another account. click start>run type "cmd" to open the command prompt. type "net user" then press enter to show a list of users. then type "net user (username) *" and press enter (in your case username would be administrator). then it should ask to enter password. type a new password and press enter (note the cursor will not move and it will appear as if you did not enter any text, though you actually did) confirm the same password and press enter. you should be set.

well what i would do is find someone who has very good hacking skills, and let them take care of it, it may be the best way of doing that.    but first try writing down all of the possible things it might be and give it some time, it may come to you.
