Its a sony cybershot digital camera. It was only in the rain for about 15 minutes, but it rained pretty hard. There was a little water inside the screen but it has already dried up.

  1. the only way that you might save it is to take a hair dryer, YES I SAID HAIR DRYER! set is on high and pass it over it for about 20 minutes or longer and you might get lucky  and save the camera if it did not short it out the first time when you turn it on! if it did burn out my advice is to throw it out because it will be cheeper to buy a new one

    Sorry for the bad news,

    Bob

  2. ahhhhh that sucks!!! well usually when electronics get water in them they're permanently damaged.  my sister did something similar with her cell phone but she left it out in the sun and it worked again, only to break a few days later.  i think you should return it, hopefully you have warranty.

  3. Here is a simple way to find out:

    1. Take a couple of random pictures

    2. Try putting them onto your computer/other device

If it does not work- it is obviously ruined

If it does work- the screen is useless- but you can atleast take pictures!!

  4. I think you should take your video camera to the local Electronics store. It probably isn't ruined, but there is a chance it is.

  5. don't listen to them what you need is to TRY! OK so what you do is take out the battery's to the camera open the battery case and then stick it in the fridge for about 24-48 hours after that take it out and let it dry out and then if that hasn't worked let it stay in for a little longer

    worked with everything i have

    walkie talkie's

    cell phone

    camera

    etc.....

thank you and hope this helps
