download trinity rescue kit, burn it to a disc with imgburn and then foll the instructions on  the web site

Download "Hirens Boot CD " burn to disk and boot from it

It has programs on it for canceling passwords plus a lot of other useful ones

I don't care whether it's stolen or not, it depends on where the password is, if it's the BIOS you may as well take the Laptop apart and sell all the parts separately on EBAY, but if it's loggin in to windows you need to get a boot disc, For instance a Windows XP CD, then you need open the BIOS at startup by tapping F5 and make the Disk Drive the Primary Drive then restart again and wipe the hard drive using the CD, then reinstall Windows with the CD. or you could simply get a new hard drive
