I forgot my password to my Ipod Touch. What should I do?

I tried to reset it by pressing the home and power button but it just asked for my password again! I don't want to restore it because then I'll lose all of my songs. Please help! It is my brother's and he is really sad!

try going to apple's website to see if they have any last-minute things you can do, but it looks like you'll have to restore it. :(
