I just took out my golf clubs in preperation for the upcoming season. I realized I forgot to clean them after my last round! There is dirty caked on and these dirt spots won't come off. They are a punch of 2 square millimetre specks of dirt. Does anyone know a good method of cleaning these off? All I have done so far is hot water and a scrubby (not using the rough side). What can I do to get rid of them without hurting the club head?

  1. Simple Green.

They even used to package it in a golf club cleaning package.

  2. try a drop of bleach in a small squirt bottle.  Spray on the clubs, work in with one of those brushes they sell and wipe off.

  3. Simple green or Purple power, but quickley wipe it off and dunk  it in water afterwards.  I use old toothbrushs and it works pretty good, not so abrasive.

  4. best way foamy cleaner . take to car wash use thier high pressured hose . try you local phamacy for a dental pick this will not scratch the club face if slips . it will gut the groves spotless . another useful product , you can pick up is a regroving tool at a large golf outlet shop . chance to regrove irons plus clean at same time . if they ever a snow set i too could be playing . good luck

  5. As long as it is on the club face you can use a copper brush. If it is a iron or wedge you can use a steel brush. Any damage that might occur will be gone after a couple of hits at the range. Club heads are steel or Titanium, if they can withstand an impact of at times over 130 mph I am sure they can withstand most anything else. If it is on the paint then don't worry about it, it has no effect on performance.

  6. Comet, hot water and a little pine sol. Seriously try it. I use this method all the time and it really works without hurting the club.
