  1. ok not a big deal and I doubt the fish will care but here's an idea......

take a bowl (white would be better because it will be easy to see in)  Then  take a scoop of water and use a net to get all the babies out and put them back in the tank. Do this until you have 25% removed then fill the tank back up with clean water and make sure to add some water conditioner!

  2. Just do small partial water changes and look after the water quality. Ignore the algae, it looks ugly, but wont harm your fish, taking drastic measures to clean the algae may.

Fish like betta come from ponds and slow moving streams that are naturally full of algea, so it wont harm them.

Once the fry are a bit bigger then you can catch up on the housekeeping.

  3. Just do a water change using a cup. Be very carefull not to dump any fry down the sink!!

  4. have you got a syphon to clean the gravel/bottom of the tank and also using this you can do a 15%-20% water change  stay away from the fry which should be in the nest and just clean the rest of the tank then when the fry are bigger then clean there side of the tank hope this helps good luck

  5. what is the problem algae?

If so petsmart sells magnets that you can put on the inside and outside of your tank to clean the mess :)

if its anything else Id just let the little suckers ride it out

  6. You should be concentrating on feeding your betta fry at this point, and only worry about cleaning up excess uneaten food.   Later when your babies are larger, you can make the tank look pretty.  What are you feeding the fry and how old are they?
