there are these little pocket electronic dictionaries. the ones where you type in a word and it tells you the definition. what are those called. im trying to find one on ebay.

just  typing in pocket electronic dictionary on ebay should bring some up. Ectaco make them? I'm not sure what the leading brand would be.

I'm not sure this is the word you are looking for, but my PDA (personal digital assistant) has an electronic dictionary. I also imagine you could type "electronic dictionary" on ebay and get results.
