  1. What sort of camcorder is it?  If you've got a HDD camcorder you might be able to recover something.  If your PC sees the camcorder as a removeable disk, try PC Inspector Smart Recovery.  If it doesn't, you'll need to deal with a specialist data recovery company.  Don't record anything until you've resolved this!
