    A 1957 cent is all copper. The silver part has been coated with some other metal, so this is a damaged coin with no numismatic value.


  2. It is true that this is probably a plated fake but it could be an error.

    Some pennies were made with silver dimes by accident.

    To know what you have you need to weigh your coin in grams.
