Question:

I found a 2 inch long grub in a chunk of wood and was wondering if it was okay to feed it to my chinese water?

i live in northwestern Pa and am trying to vary his diet a little bit from crickets i also feed him miths and stuff

  1. Grubs are probably as good as anything else you have been feeding him. Maybe better.


  2. i wouldn't because i would think that would be healthy for him better to be safe than sorry.

  5. ....Your Chinese water what?  I imagine that Chinese water doesn't eat, so i don't really know how to answer this question without knowing what exactly you want to feed.  Sorry :\

  6. While your Water Dragon may normally eat things like wax worms (a grub), I wouldn't feed it ANYTHING you find outside.

    The reason is really just because it may have been in contact with pesticides or fertilizers that you really don't want your reptile to digest or be in contact with.

    So, while it may be normally a perfectly fine and healthy protein filled meal, if you found it outside - to be safe I'd say just don't.
